Who We Are
Future Mpundu MSc.
Future Mpundu, along with his friends Mwenya and Mureen, are the founders of Prestige Wellness Foundation. Future was born and raised in Ndola, Zambia. Future attended St. Clements Secondary School, a Catholic boarding school in Mansa, Zambia. It was at St. Clements were Future first learned the value of community service. Upon graduating High School, he attended the Accountancy Training College in Chingola where he continued doing community service through Nchanga General Hospital. He later moved to the United States to work as a camp counselor in Fishkill NY where he worked with at risk teens from underserved communities. He later attended Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL where he earned an Associate’s in Business. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Informatics. Future also earned Master’s in Information Technology Management from Grand Canyon University. He currently resides in Decatur IL, with his wife Charly two beautiful children Zion and Alec. He is the President of Prestige Wellness Foundation and works for Silgan Holdings Inc., as an Application Support
Wayne Mwenya Mulenga, RN, BSN
Mwenya Wayne Mulenga is one of the founders of Prestige Wellness Foundation. Mwenya was born and raised in Kabwe, Zambia. He attended St. Clements Secondary School, a Catholic boarding school in Mansa, Zambia. Mwenya relocated to USA in 2006, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Chicago State University, an Associate Degree in General Sciences from Parkland College, Wound Specialist Certification and Infection Preventionist Certification. He has over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry as a professional nurse, with roles as Chief Executive Officer for Villa Holistic Caregivers, Heavenly Angels Caregivers, and Prestige Nursing Homecare. Other roles include Nurse Consultant in Skilled and Long-Term Care facilities, Home Health and Wounds Consultant, in the Chicagoland areas. In the past he has held positions of Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, Nursing Supervisor, and Floor nurse, with experience in various hospital departments. Mwenya has gained an exceptionally good reputation in the healthcare industry of creating and championing programs like psychotropic, infection control, cardiac, falls, pain, respiratory, wound care programs, just to mention a few. He is also renowned for helping facilities stay in compliance with federal and state requirements through his nurse consultancy auditing programs. Peers, patients, and family members that have worked with Mwenya describe him as having a positive attitude, compassionate, very hardworking, professional, goal-getter, dependable, friendly, and a reliable team player.
Maureen Shavers, LPN
Maureen is a professional nurse who graduated from Oakton Community College. Hospital service associate, Dementia and Covid-19 certification. She has been working in the healthcare industry for over 10 years of experience with the geriatric population in hospitals, skilled nursing, long-term care, assisted living facilities, and home health. Among her specialties include Chief Executive Officer for Villa Holistic Caregivers, Mungeli Home care, Prestige Nursing Homecare, Nurse Consulting in coordinating and managing COVID 19 clinics, assessing, stabilizing, and managing highly skilled patient; leading and managing rapid response and code blue emergencies; assessing documenting, and initiating nursing diagnoses and comprehensive individualized plan of care for patients; supervising various staff including nurses, CNAs, dietary, restorative and housekeeping. Maureen is described by peers and superiors as being hard working, loyal, empathetic, dependable, emotionally stable, has good communication skills, open-minded, always eager to learn, and versatile.
